Simple Guide to Connecting Your Selar Store to Zapier

Introduction

Integrating your Selar store with Zapier allows you to automate workflows between Selar and thousands of other apps—without writing any code.

With Zapier, you can automatically send new customers or orders from Selar to tools like Google Sheets, Airtable, Slack, Notion, Mailchimp, ConvertKit, HubSpot, Discord, Trello, and many more.


Part 1: Create a Zapier Account

Step 1: Sign Up for Zapier

If you don't already have one, create a Zapier account.


Part 2: Connect Your Selar Store to Zapier

Step 1: Open Integrations in Selar

From your Selar Dashboard:

  • Click Integrations.

  • Select Zapier.

Note: Your Selar account must have a connected bank account before the Zapier integration option becomes available.


Step 2: Generate Your Webhook URL

On the Zapier integration page, you'll find the webhook URL that will be used to send data from Selar to Zapier.

Keep this page open—you'll need it when creating your Zap.


Part 3: Create a Zap

Step 1: Create a New Zap

Log in to your Zapier Dashboard.

Click Create Zap.


Step 2: Choose Webhooks by Zapier

For the trigger app, search for and select:

Step 3: Select Catch Hook

Choose the trigger event:

Catch Hook

Click Continue.


Step 4: Copy the Webhook URL

Zapier will generate a unique webhook URL.

Copy this URL.


Step 5: Paste the Webhook URL into Selar

Return to your Selar Dashboard.

On the Zapier Integration page:

  • Paste the webhook URL into the appropriate field.

  • Click Save or Connect.


Part 4: Test the Connection

Step 1: Send Test Data

After saving the webhook URL in Selar:

  • Return to Zapier.

  • Click Test Trigger.

If your store has recent activity, Zapier should receive sample customer/order data.

If no data is found, create a test purchase on your Selar store and test again.


Part 5: Choose What Happens Next

Now that Zapier is receiving data from Selar, choose the app you'd like to automate.

Some popular examples include:

  • Google Sheets — Add every sale to a spreadsheet.

  • Slack — Notify your team when a new order is received.

  • Notion — Create a new database entry for every customer.

  • Airtable — Save customer information automatically.

  • Mailchimp — Add customers to your mailing list.

  • ConvertKit — Add customers as subscribers.

  • HubSpot — Create or update contacts.

  • Discord — Send new sale notifications to your server.

  • Trello — Create a task when a new order comes in.


Step 2: Map Your Fields

Zapier will display the information received from Selar.

Map the available fields to your destination app.

Examples include:

  • Customer Name

  • Customer Email

  • Product Name

  • Amount Paid

  • Order ID

  • Purchase Date


Step 3: Publish Your Zap

Once you've finished setting up your action:

Click Publish (or Turn On Zap).

Your automation is now live.
