Turn your knowledge into income by creating engaging courses with videos, audio, documents, and interactive lessons that your learners can access after purchase.
Follow the steps below to create a course on Selar using the File Manager.
Click the hamburger menu (☰) in the top-right corner of your dashboard.
Click Add Product.
Select Courses.
Choose Hosted on Selar.

Fill in the required course information.
Upload one or more images for your course.
To set a display image:
Click the radio button beside the image you want to use.
The selected image will become the primary image displayed on your storefront.
You can upload multiple images to showcase your course.
Enter:
Course name
Sales price
Course category
You can also choose to allow customers to pay what they want for the course if desired.

Once you've completed all required fields, click Save and Set Up Curriculum.
On the Curriculum page, you can:
Create sections
Rename sections
Organize lessons
Structure your course content
After creating your sections, click Manage Lecture Content to add resources to your lessons.
When adding lecture content, you can choose from three resource sources:
Select files that have already been uploaded to your Selar File Manager.
Import content from:
Google Drive
YouTube
Loom
Other supported URLs
Paste a supported content URL directly into the resource field.
For this guide, we'll focus on using the File Manager.
Select File Manager.
Click Select from File Manager.
The File Manager will open and display files you've previously uploaded.
If your file is not already available:
Click Upload New Files.
Select the files from your device.
Wait for the upload to complete.
Selar supports the following file formats:
MP3
MP4
CSV
XLS/XLSX
PPT/PPTX
VTT
ZIP
Before uploading videos, consider compressing them to reduce file size.
Smaller video files:
Upload faster
Load faster for students
Improve the learning experience, especially for users with slower internet connections
After uploading:
Navigate to the File Library tab.
Locate the file you want to use.
You can:
Use the search bar to find files quickly
Filter by file type (Images, Videos, Documents, etc.)
Browse your uploaded media library
Click a file to select it.
Once you've selected a file, configure the resource settings.
Enter a title for the lesson or resource.
Provide a brief description of what learners should expect.
If you'd like students to download the file:
Enable the Downloadable option.
Students will be able to download the resource after purchase.
If applicable, upload or attach subtitle files to improve accessibility and the learning experience.
After completing the setup, click Save.
After saving:
Click Go Back to Curriculum to return to your course structure.
Add more lectures and resources as needed.
Repeat the process for all lessons in your course.
You can also batch-upload multiple files to the File Manager to save time when preparing your course materials.
Before publishing, use the Preview Course option to see how your course will appear to students.
This allows you to verify:
Course structure
Lesson organization
Resource accessibility
Overall learner experience
From the Course Settings page, you can customize how your course appears and functions.
Set up completion certificates for students who finish the course.
Choose whether to display your curriculum on the course sales page.
Select a Preview Video
Choose a lesson video that prospective students can watch before purchasing.
This preview video can help visitors understand the value of your course and encourage conversions.
Your course remains editable after publication.
You can:
Add new lectures
Upload additional resources
Edit existing content
Reorganize sections
Update course details at any time
This flexibility allows you to continuously improve your course and deliver more value to your learners.
