When creating a digital product (such as an ebook, video course, or downloadable file) on Selar, the File Manager helps you properly upload and select both your product image and product files.
This guide shows you how to do it correctly.
Click on the hamburger icon (☰) at the top right of your dashboard
Open the Products dropdown menu
Click “Add Product”

From the product options, select Digital Product
This is the option used for ebooks, courses, PDFs, videos, and downloadable content
A product image is what appears on your store when customers view your product.
It can be:
Ebook cover
Course banner
Flyer or promotional design
At the top of the product creation form, click “Upload Product Image”
A modal (popup) will appear
Inside the modal, you will see two tabs:
Use this to add a new image.
Click Upload Files
Select an image from your device
Supported formats:
PNG
JPG / JPEG
GIF
SVG
Use this to reuse previously uploaded images.
Go to File Library
You’ll see all previously uploaded files
Select your desired image using the radio button
Click “Select File”
Scroll down to the section where you set up buyer access to files.
You will see options like:
Give access to file
Read online
Download file
Click to open the File Manager again
You can either:
Upload a new file, or
Select from File Library
Supported file types include:
PDF (ebooks, guides)
Video files (courses, lessons)
Other downloadable digital assets
Choose how buyers will access your product:
Download file → For ebooks, PDFs, videos
Read online → For view-only content
Streaming/Video access → For courses or video content
Once everything is set:
Product image uploaded
Product file selected
All details filled correctly
Click “Create Product”
If any required field is missing, Selar will show an error message prompting you to complete it.
Only these image formats are accepted for product images:
PNG
JPG / JPEG
GIF
PDF is commonly used for ebooks and guides
Video files are used for courses or paid video content
Always ensure your product image is clear and represents your offer properly
