How to Pass Transaction Fees to your Customers From Your Selar Dashboard

Every time you make a sale, transaction charges can quietly reduce what you actually earn.

But with Selar, you can choose to pass the transaction charge to your customer, so you receive the full amount you priced your product for.

By default, transaction fees are deducted from your earnings. However, you can choose to pass the fee to your customers, so you receive the full amount you priced your product for.

For NGN transactions, Selar charges a 4% + ₦50 fee for each sale. If your customer covers this fee, you always receive your full product price. This helps you keep your revenue steady and predictable.

How to Turn It On

1. From your Selar dashboard, click on the hamburger icon and go to ‘Settings’.

2. Go to ‘General Store Settings’

3. Scroll to ‘Miscellaneous Store Settings’

4. Under ‘Choose who pays for the Selar transaction charge,’ select Customer.

5. Click Update to save

Once this is enabled, the transaction fee is added at checkout, so you keep your full price.
