To keep your Selar account secure, Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) is now required for all users. Once enabled, you’ll need both your password and a verification code from your authenticator app to access sensitive actions on your account.
2FA helps protect your account, withdrawals, and payout details from unauthorised access.
With 2FA enabled on your Selar account, you’ll get an extra layer of protection for important account actions.
2FA is required to:
Withdraw funds from your account
Change your bank account details
Protect your account from unauthorized access
How to Enable 2FA on Selar
Log in to your Selar dashboard
1. Click the menu icon (three horizontal lines) to open the menu.
Click Settings
Under Settings, select Security
On the Security Settings page:
Locate Set Up Two-Factor Authentication
Click Enable 2FA
You’ll receive a 6-digit one-time password (OTP) in the email linked to your Selar account.
Enter the OTP to verify your identity and continue.
Once your email verification is complete, you’ll be prompted to connect an authenticator app.
Selar supports any authenticator app, including:
Google Authenticator
Microsoft Authenticator
Authy
1Password
Any other TOTP-compatible authenticator app
Install an authenticator app on your phone if you don’t already have one
Open the app and scan the QR code displayed on your Selar dashboard
If you can’t scan the QR code, you can manually enter the secret key provided.
Example:
CCGOYESBCQIIETT4
After scanning the QR code or entering the secret key, your authenticator app will generate a 6-digit verification code.
Enter the 6-digit code into Selar
Click to confirm setup
Once verified, 2FA will be enabled on your account.
After setting up 2FA, Selar will generate a set of recovery codes for your account.
These recovery codes help you regain access to your account if you lose access to your authenticator app or device.
Each recovery code can only be used once
You should download and store them somewhere safe and accessible
After downloading your recovery codes, click Continue to complete the setup process.
If you lose your recovery codes, you can generate a new set anytime.
