Meta Conversions API (CAPI) Setup on Selar
Setting up the Conversions API (CAPI) on Selar helps you track your sales and customer actions more accurately, even when browser tracking is limited.
This setup has two main parts:
Configure your events in Meta
Connect your access token to Selar
Step 1: Start Setup in Meta Events Manager
Go to Meta Events Manager
Select your Pixel (Data Source)
Click Add Events
Click Set Up New Integration
Choose Conversions API
Select Set Up Manually
Choose Conversions API + Meta Pixel
Click Start Setup
Step 2: Select Events to Track
When prompted, select these 5 events:
View Content
Add to Cart
Initiate Checkout
Purchase
Search
These events cover the full customer journey on your Selar store.
Step 3: Configure Event Parameters
You’ll now configure what data Meta should receive for each event.
A. Event Details (Select for ALL events)
Event Time
Event Name
Event Source URL
Action Source
Event ID (important for deduplication)
B. Customer Information (Select for ALL events)
First Name
Last Name
Client IP Address (do not hash)
Client User Agent (do not hash)
Click ID (fbc) Cookie (do not hash)
Browser ID (fbp) Cookie (do not hash)
Step 4: Generate Your Access Token
After configuring all events:
Click Continue through the setup
Click Generate Access Token
Copy the token (it will be a long string of letters and numbers)
Step 5: Connect to Selar
Go to your Selar Dashboard
Navigate to Integrations → Facebook Pixel
Enable Conversion API
Paste your Access Token
Click Update Pixel
Step 6: Test Your Setup
Go back to Meta Events Manager
Open the Test Events tab
Visit your Selar store or perform a test purchase
You should see events coming in as:
Browser
Server
If both appear, your setup is working correctly.
