Refer & Earn

Refer & Earn

Selar Refer & Earn allows you to earn money by inviting creators and affiliates to Selar.

When someone signs up with your referral code and subscribes to an eligible plan, they receive a 5% discount, and you earn a commission.

How Refer & Earn Works

  1. Get your unique referral code here.
  2. Share it with creators and affiliates.
  3. They sign up using your referral code.
  4. They receive 5% off their first subscription.
  5. When their eligible subscription payment is successfully completed, you earn a commission.

Your referral code is automatically generated for you if you're eligible for the program.

How Much Can I Earn?

You can earn:

  • 10% commission on each successful monthly Creator subscription payment from your referrals.
  • 20% of the annual subscription payment when a referred user becomes an Affiliate and subscribes to an annual Affiliate plan.

Example

If a referred Creator pays ₦12,000 for their monthly subscription, you earn ₦1,200.

If a referred Affiliate pays ₦3,000 for an annual subscription, you earn ₦600.

The 5% discount given to your referral does not reduce your commission.

Who Can Participate?

To participate, you must:

  • Have an active Selar account.
  • Be subscribed to an eligible plan.

Eligible plans

  • Affiliate Plan
  • Any paid Creator Plan

Users on the Free Plan cannot earn referral commissions.

If you downgrade to Free, you will stop earning from future referral payments while you remain on the Free Plan. Your previous referral history will remain associated with your account.

If you upgrade back to an eligible plan, you can resume earning from eligible referrals going forward.

What Happens When My Referral Renews?

Your referral relationship can continue beyond their first payment.

As long as:

  • Your account remains eligible for Refer & Earn.
  • Your referral's subscription remains active.
  • Their subscription payments are successfully completed.

You can continue earning commissions from eligible subscription payments.

If your referral's subscription expires without renewal, your commissions from that subscription will pause.

If they later renew or reactivate their subscription, eligible commissions will resume from the reactivation date.

When Will I Receive My Commission?

Your commission is credited to your Selar wallet after the referred user's eligible subscription payment is successfully completed.

There is no minimum payout threshold.

Can I Use More Than One Referral Code?

No.

Each Selar account can redeem only one referral code in its lifetime.

Once you've successfully used a referral code, you cannot replace it with another user's code.

Your referral eligibility is tied to your Selar account, not the referral code.

Can I Change My Referral Code?

Yes, but only if you're on the Turbo plan or higher.

If you change your referral code:

  • Your old code is deactivated.
  • The old code can no longer be used for new referrals.
  • New referrals must use your new code.

Users on plans below Turbo cannot edit their autogenerated referral code.

Do Referral Codes Expire?

No.

Your referral code remains active as long as:

  • Your account remains active.
  • You remain eligible for the Refer & Earn program.

Selar may deactivate referral codes associated with suspended accounts.

What Happens If a Referred Payment Is Refunded?

If a referred subscription payment is:

  • Refunded
  • Reversed
  • Charged back

The commission earned from that payment will also be reversed.

If the commission has already been credited to your wallet, the amount may be deducted from your available balance. If there isn't enough money in your wallet, your balance may become negative, and future commissions can be used to offset the outstanding amount.

What Referral Codes Are Not Allowed?

Referral codes must not be misleading or make users think they are official Selar promotions.

Referral codes cannot:

  • Use Selar or another brand's name in a misleading way.
  • Pretend to be an official Selar discount or promotional code.
  • Use misleading promotional or holiday terms.

Examples of prohibited codes include:

  • Selar-Official
  • SelarPromo
  • Blackfriday01D
  • Other codes designed to look like official Selar promotions.
