A number of reasons are responsible for abandoned transaction notifications, First, is that whenever a customer clicks on “buy now” on any of your products, our system considers that a transaction has started hence if the customer does not proceed to payment page, it will still be counted as an abandoned transaction and you will get notified even though the customer did not even try making payment .

Second is if the customer is paying with a card and the transaction times out, this means the customer has spent too much time on the gateway and as such, they will have to try again.

In any of these cases, Selar sends out an automated 15minute and 1 day reminder via email to the customer so they can try again, so it is certain the customer remembers your transaction and can complete the payment right from the email link.
