A Meta Pixel is a small tracking code from Facebook (Meta) that helps you understand what people do on your Selar store after they see your ads.
For example, it helps track:
When someone visits your store
When someone views a product
When someone buys something
This helps Facebook show your ads to more people who are likely to buy.
A Meta Pixel is NOT tied to your Facebook ad account.
Instead:
It is tied to your Meta Business Manager
It can be used across many ad accounts
It works based on the website or store it is installed on (your Selar store)
So even if you have different ad accounts, they can still use the same Pixel.
On Selar, your store can only use one Meta Pixel at a time.
So:
If you connect a new Pixel, it replaces the old one
Only the latest Pixel you connect will track your store
This is why it may look like your old Pixel is “disabled” when you add a new one.
If you are using:
More than one Facebook ad account
But selling products from one Selar store
Then you DO NOT need multiple Pixels.
You only need ONE Pixel for everything.
Follow this simple setup:
Choose ONE Meta Pixel (preferably from your main Business Manager)
Connect that Pixel to your Selar store
Use that same Pixel in ALL your Facebook ad accounts
When creating ads, always select the same Pixel for tracking conversions
Using one Pixel helps Facebook:
Collect more data in one place
Learn faster who is likely to buy
Show your ads to better audiences
Improve your sales results over time
If you split Pixels across different ad accounts:
Each Pixel gets less data
Facebook learns slower
Your ads may become more expensive or less effective
Only use multiple Pixels if:
You are running completely different businesses or brands
You want to keep all data totally separate for each brand
For most creators selling on Selar, this is NOT necessary.
One Selar store = One Pixel is enough
Multiple ad accounts can still use the same Pixel
Changing Pixel on Selar replaces the previous one
More data in one Pixel = better ad performance
